Marsha Silverman, a proud City Councilwoman, is dedicated to transparency, fiscal responsibility, and community engagement in Glen Cove. With 30+ years in finance and data analytics, she brings the expertise needed to tackle challenges and drive lasting change.
For too long, residents of Glen Cove have felt disconnected from the city’s decision-making processes. Key matters are sometimes decided without proper notice or input, and fiscal practices have lacked the transparency necessary to ensure residents can trust their government. From concerns about budgeting practices to issues with city contracts, it’s clear that Glen Cove needs a leader who will advocate for a more responsible, inclusive, and transparent government.
Marsha will ensure that residents are always informed about key decisions. This includes guaranteeing that the City Council provides proper notice to residents before critical votes and addressing concerns about budgeting practices.
Education is vital to our community’s future. Marsha will propose a reciprocal education liaison between the Glen Cove City Government and Glen Cove Schools to support educational programs, promote achievements, and ensure that our schools are an integral part of our city’s development.
To maintain integrity, Marsha will propose a restriction on city contractors making political contributions. As mayor, she will act as a watchdog to ensure city contracts and city jobs are awarded based on merit, not political connections.
Marsha is committed to enforcing environmental regulations for major projects in Glen Cove, including exploring alternative uses for developments that preserve our natural assets.
Marsha will challenge any financial transaction that doesn’t serve the interests of Glen Cove residents. She will fight for responsible, long-term budgeting to secure the city’s financial health and prevent misleading balance-sheet practices.
Small businesses are the backbone of our city’s economy. Marsha will propose a small business assistance resource to ensure that Glen Cove’s small businesses, including our growing Latino community of entrepreneurs, have access to loans, grants, and the support they need to thrive.
As a city with a rich diversity of residents, Marsha will create a community committee to ensure that every voice—whether from taxpayers, business owners, or families—is heard and represented in city decisions.
Marsha Silverman brings over 30 years of experience in finance, risk management, and data analytics. She has a proven ability to drive business decisions, improve engagement, and deliver results. As an analytical leader with a track record of solving complex problems, Marsha is uniquely qualified to bring practical solutions to the challenges Glen Cove faces.
Join Marsha in her mission to create a transparent, responsible, and thriving Glen Cove.
